Infrastructure Monitoring Specialist Dynatrace & DevOps
Location : Cincinnati OH
Contract : 4 - 6+ Months contract with possible extension

JOB DESCRIPTION
The role is responsible for leveraging software development, deployment and support experience to lead or support evaluations of technical solutions to identify improvements in monitoring, architecture, ITIL practices, utilization of managed services and automation that can be used to address improved system availability.
Ensure that processes and solutions meet the demanding nature of business critical applications that have low unavailability tolerances.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Evaluate tools, automation and frameworks supporting monitoring, batch and reporting functions, identifying recommended improvements / changes.
- Participate in implementation of improvements as needed.
- Evaluate manual processes and procedures and identifying automation opportunities.
- Evaluate application support documentation for accuracy and completeness and identify areas that are not adequately documented
- Engineering and support of monitoring tools.
- Troubleshooting, Incident escalation and problem solving, including assisting in driving root cause analysis and prevention
- Design, upgrade and support production monitoring solutions.
- Drive change to improve and maintain the company platform uptime, performance, stability, and scalability
- Analyze and offer recommentations for improved deployment strategies for client-facing and internal systems
Qualifications:
Technical Degree or related work experience
Lean Six Sigma certification and/or experience
Experience in IT operations and system administration
Experience building robust monitoring solutions utilizing Dynatrace
Experience with scripting/programming and engineering of infrastructure batch and monitoring tools.
Experience in software/systems development.
Experience in System administration, preferrably in multiple platforms:
- Windows
- Linux
- Cloud
Experience with automation/configuration software (puppet, ansible), and/or orchestration software (docker swarm, kubernetes, etc).
Understanding of computer networks.
