System Administrator

Evolver Federal is looking for a System Administrator to join our team supporting our federal client located onsite in Bethesda, MD.

This position requires a hybrid work environment with onsite work 3-5 days per week in Bethesda, MD depending on the requirements of the program

Responsibilities:

Supervise and manage the daily activities of configuration and operation of systems which may be mainframe, mini, or client/server based. Plan and monitor the optimization of system operation and resource utilization and perform systems capacity analysis and planning. Plan and monitor assistance to users in accessing and using business systems. Commensurate experience and education.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or seven (7) years of experience in Systems Administration
• 5 years of experience supervising and managing the daily activities of configuration and operation of systems which may be mainframe, mini, or client/server based.
• 5 years of experience planning and monitoring the optimization of system operation and resource utilization
• 5 years of experience performing systems capacity analysis and planning.
• 5 years of experience planning and monitoring assistance to users in accessing and using business systems.
• with the ability to obtain a Level 5 (NACIC) security clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

• A Master of Science (MS) in Information Technology
• The following certifications and skillset are preferred:
  • Microsoft MSCE, Windows Server OS, IIS, PowerShell, System Center Operation and Configuration Management,
  • Microsoft Azure Administration
  • Microsoft Azure DevOps
  • AWS Certified SysOps Administrator - Professional
  • VMware Data Center Virtualization (DCV) - Design or Deploy
  • Nutanix Platform Expert (NPX)
  • IBM BigFix Lifecycle Administration
  • Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management (ITIL) v3 or higher
  • CompTIA Security+ Certified Professional
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Public Trust Tier2 security clearance- Moderate risk (formerly MBI Level 5B)
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
