The Supervisory Senior Electronic Technician (SSET) is responsible for the following:
1. Exercising direct supervision and control of subordinate Contractor and Subcontractor employees involved in the performance of duties related to installation, maintenance and repair of the CUSTOMER s security system/subsystems.
2. Analyzing systems operations and the results of systems tests, to ensure proper systems operation and determine the need for maintenance.
3. Ensuring accomplishment of the required services in accordance with the guidance and direction of the CUSTOMER COR.
4. Preparing and presenting reports and briefings concerning operations of the security system operations, activities and status, as required.
5. Ensuring that system malfunctions are identified and, where possible, corrected and advises the Project Manager of all malfunctions and the actions taken for correction.
6. Initiating authorized tests of the operation of the security system and designated components and subsystems to ensure proper operation or to identify the need for maintenance.
7. Advising the Project Manager of abnormalities and shortcomings of the existing system that may significantly affect the design of next generation systems, or results in the identification of better methodology or operational techniques.
8 .Establishing and supervising a preventative maintenance program for each CUSTOMER security system.
9. Reporting any problems noted with the systems to the Project Manager.
10. Serving as a supervisor, however, is also a working member of the maintenance/installation team.
(b) The SSET shall meet all the listed qualifications, general, specialized and educational for an Electronic Technician Class III as listed in Office of Personnel Management Handbook.
The following experience and educational requirements apply:
1. Minimum of five (5) years of experience in the supervision of a staff of at least five (5) personnel.
2. Military Electronics Training (minimum 720 classroom hours) or
3. Graduation from an accredited Electronics Technician program or
4. Graduation from an Electrical Apprenticeship program or
5. An additional three (3) years of electronics installation and/or maintenance activities
Required Progressive Experience:
10 years of electronics installation and/or maintenance activities on multiple systems and with multiple customer programs
Strong Oral, Written and Presentation Skills
Demonstrated background working with multidisciplinary teams
Demonstrated time management and organization skills to meet deadlines and quality objectives
Strong MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint Skills is a plus
Desired/Advantageous Qualifications
Vendor certifications in multiple IDS, ACS, and CCTV systems
Software House CCURE, Verint, MDI, AMAG Symmetry, Bosch, Bosch IDS, Hirsch (Identiv), Intercom Systems AIphone, etc. and experience in installation of said systems.
Knowledge of the techniques and theories characteristic of electronics, such as a knowledge of basic electricity and electronic theory, algebra, and elementary physics.
Knowledge of electronic equipment design, development, evaluation, testing, installation, and maintenance; and
Knowledge of the capabilities, limitations, operations, design, characteristics, and functional use of a variety of types and models of electronic equipment and systems related to, but less than, a full professional knowledge of electronic engineering.
Minimum of five (5) years SQL database experience and must be able to write and execute queries, perform data analysis, and manage database structures effectively.
Salary: $130,000- $135,000 per year ( depends on experience level)
