Description
We are looking for a skilled Data Engineer to join our team in Plano, Texas. In this role, you will collaborate with the business intelligence team and IT management to develop, enhance, and maintain reporting systems, dashboards, and data solutions. The ideal candidate is experienced in data visualization, predictive analysis, and has hands-on expertise with tools like Tableau and Power BI.
Responsibilities:
Design and implement data solutions and applications using both existing and emerging technology platforms.
Ensure alignment with organizational data management and governance standards in all projects.
Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and utilize Microsoft SQL Server for generating reports and fulfilling user requests.
Collaborate with technical teams to maintain high-quality system monitoring and performance.
Communicate effectively with users and management to address issues and provide resolutions.
Prepare technical documentation and establish application procedures.
Adhere to change management and security policies to ensure compliance.
Assist in creating automated and ad hoc reporting solutions to meet business requirements.
Leverage data visualization tools like Power BI and Tableau to present insights and trends.
Support after-hours operations when necessary to ensure the availability of critical systems.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in database analysis or development, including proficiency with Microsoft SQL Server and writing SQL statements.
Strong understanding of relational database design and optimization.
Hands-on experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
Familiarity with ETL processes and data transformation workflows.
Knowledge of programming languages like JavaScript, C#, or VB.net is a plus.
Effective communication and analytical skills to work with technical and non-technical teams.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and deliver results within deadlines.
