Job Description:
- The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and reliability of assembly line equipment through timely maintenance, repair, and documentation.
- This role involves diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and collaborating with engineers to support manufacturing operations and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Respond to assembly line equipment repair calls by diagnosing equipment issues and performing necessary repairs.
- Document equipment qualifications, upgrades, and preventative maintenance activities in the MP2 maintenance database.
- Maintain backup equipment and ensure spare parts inventory levels meet manufacturing needs.
- Assist industrial, manufacturing, and quality engineers in equipment operation and troubleshooting.
- Provide feedback to equipment development engineers on recurring issues and suggest improvements for uptime optimization.
- Construct and modify worktables, install necessary utilities, and set up assembly line equipment as required.
- Modify existing workstations or assembly lines to accommodate changing production requirements.
- Plan and organize project assignments effectively, prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines.
- Use ingenuity, creativity, and independent judgment to develop solutions for technical and operational challenges.
- Propose and implement process improvements and assist in decision-making for projects and repairs.
- Extensive knowledge of complex technical concepts and practices related to equipment maintenance and manufacturing systems.
- Understanding of product or systems fundamentals within a functional area and working knowledge of related disciplines.
- Experience working in a quality system environment, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently on complex technical assignments.
- Demonstrated initiative and creativity in recommending continuous improvement measures.
- High school diploma or equivalent (Required).
- Equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience (Accepted).
