Senior Pega Developer
Vaco is hiring a Senior Pega Developer for a contract to hire role in Allen, TX.
This role requires a minimum of 6 years of hands-on development experience in Pega.
The ideal candidate will have expertise in Pega v8.X & Infinity 23 and will hold a Pega CSSA certification.

This is a hybrid opportunity, requiring onsite work 2-3x weekly in Allen, TX.
We are unable to provide current or future sponsorship for work visas at this time. Candidates must be eligible to work without employer sponsorship.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to the design, development, and implementation of Pega applications.
  • Leverage Enterprise Class Structure, Data Modeling, Application Structure Design, Specialization & Extensibility, Inheritance, and Rule Resolution Concepts to create scalable solutions.
  • Implement integrations using SOAP, REST, File Listener, and ensure proper exception handling.
  • Utilize and develop Data Pages, Reports, Activities, Data Transforms, Declarative & Decision Rules, Functions, Function Alias, and Correspondence features.
  • Work on Case Management, User Interface, and Authentication & Authorization concepts to build end-to-end Pega solutions.
  • Develop Asynchronous Background Processing features such as Agents, Job Schedulers, Queue Processors, and SLAs.
  • Manage and optimize Ruleset management, Branches, Skimming, Debugging, and Deployment processes.
  • Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of projects using Agile methodologies.
  • Proactively troubleshoot and resolve complex performance issues, leveraging Admin Studio, SMA, Key Alerts & Exceptions, PDC/AES.
  • Assist in the usage of App Studio and provide guidance on Admin Studio.
  • Maintain strong problem-solving capabilities and contribute to design decisions with technical judgment.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 6 years of development experience in Pega.
  • Pega CSSA Certification (Mandatory).
  • Solid experience and knowledge of the latest Pega features on v8.X and Infinity 23.
  • Strong hands-on experience in Case Management, User Interface, and Authentication & Authorization concepts.
  • Expertise in integrations (SOAP, REST, File Listener) and their exception handling.
  • In-depth knowledge and implementation experience with Enterprise Class Structure, Data Modeling, Application Structure Design, and Inheritance/Rule Resolution concepts.
  • Experience with Data Pages, Reports, Activities, Data Transforms, Declarative & Decision Rules, Functions, Function Alias, and Correspondence.
  • Familiarity with Asynchronous Background Processing, including Agents, Job Schedulers, Queue Processors, and SLAs.
  • Strong understanding of Ruleset Management, Branches, Skimming, Debugging, and Deployment processes.
  • Solid hands-on experience with App Studio and Admin Studio.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and collaboration skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with a proactive personality and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and practices.
  • Preferred but not required: Strong SQL skills for querying databases and managing large datasets.
  • Preferred but not required: Exposure to debugging & resolving performance issues using Admin Studio/SMA, Key Alerts & Exceptions, PDC/AES.
  • Preferred but not required: Working knowledge of Customer Service communications in Pega.
