Atlassian Platform Engineer

We are looking for a skilled Atlassian Platform Engineer to manage, optimize, and support our Atlassian suite, including Jira, Confluence, and related tools. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs, implement solutions, and drive process efficiency through automation and effective tool configuration.

Responsibilities:

  • Administer and support Jira, Confluence, and related add-ons, ensuring performance and reliability.

  • Configure and customize Jira projects, workflows, permissions, and schemes.

  • Build custom integrations and automations using REST APIs, OAuth, and scripting languages.

  • Maintain integrations between Atlassian tools and other platforms.

  • Gather requirements, support new initiatives, and participate in product enhancements.

  • Provide end-user support and troubleshoot issues.

  • Conduct system audits, implement improvements, and recommend best practices.

  • Monitor project progress and report key metrics to stakeholders.

  • Stay up to date on Atlassian updates and industry trends.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree in IT, Computer Science, Business, or related field.

  • 6+ years of experience as an Atlassian Engineer.

  • 4+ year of experience building SaaS integrations/automations.

  • Strong knowledge of REST APIs, OAuth, and Atlassian products (Jira, Confluence, plugins).

  • Programming experience in Groovy/Python and SQL.

  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and effective communication.

  • Experience with Atlassian Cloud and on-prem environments is a plus.
