SAP MM Solution Architect

Job Summary:

We are looking for a seasoned SAP MM Solution Architect to lead and drive complex SAP MM implementations and transformations, including S/4HANA migrations. This role requires in-depth functional and technical knowledge of SAP MM (Materials Management), Procurement, and Inventory Management processes, as well as experience in solutioning, stakeholder management, and end-to-end project delivery in large enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead solution architecture and blueprinting of SAP MM processes for greenfield and brownfield implementations, upgrades, and rollouts.

Provide strategic guidance and solution leadership for SAP MM modules including:

Procure-to-Pay (P2P)

Inventory Management

Vendor Management

Invoice Verification

Material Valuation and Account Determination

Design and architect integrated solutions with other SAP modules (FI, SD, PP, WM, QM) and external systems (Ariba, SRM, MES, EAM, etc.).

Conduct workshops to gather business requirements, perform gap analysis, and propose scalable solutions.

Define and document detailed functional specifications, process flows, and configuration settings.

Oversee and review system configurations, custom developments, interfaces, and reporting elements.

Collaborate with technical teams, developers, and BASIS for seamless solution delivery and system performance optimization.

Drive data migration strategy and activities related to materials master, vendor master, purchase orders, and inventory balances.

Guide testing cycles (SIT, UAT) and ensure defect resolution.

Provide leadership during cutover, go-live, and post go-live support.

Support pre-sales activities, including solutioning, effort estimation, and proposal development as required.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field.

15+ years of SAP experience with a minimum of 10+ years focused on SAP MM.

Strong experience in large-scale SAP implementations and global rollouts, including at least 2-3 full lifecycle SAP MM implementations.

Deep expertise in MM integration with FI (Invoice & GR/IR), SD (Third-party procurement), PP (Material staging), WM (Stock transfers), and QM.

Experience in S/4HANA (preferred), including knowledge of Fiori apps, MRP Live, and simplified data models.

Experience with MM-related configurations (pricing procedures, release strategies, account determination, etc.)

Solid understanding of Indirect & Direct Procurement, STOs, Consignment, Subcontracting, and Intercompany Procurement.

Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.

Strong documentation, training, and presentation abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

SAP Certification in MM or S/4HANA Procurement

Experience working in industries such as Manufacturing, Automotive, Energy, Life Sciences, or Consumer Goods.

Experience with SAP Ariba, Fieldglass, or other procurement platforms.

Experience working in Agile, Hybrid, or SAFe environments.

Familiarity with GRC, audit controls, and SOX compliance related to procurement and materials processes.
