We are seeking a Java Robotics Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain software that controls our warehouse automation robots. You will work closely with hardware engineers, robotics engineers, and operations teams to ensure our systems operate efficiently and reliably in dynamic warehouse environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain Java-based software for robotics control, automation, and warehouse operations.
- Design algorithms for robot navigation, motion planning, and task scheduling.
- Integrate software with sensors, cameras, and other hardware components.
- Optimize performance and reliability of warehouse robotics systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system requirements and implement solutions.
- Troubleshoot and debug complex software and hardware interactions.
- Participate in code reviews, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong proficiency in Java, with experience in multi-threaded and real-time systems.
- Experience with robotics frameworks and libraries (e.g., ROS, OpenCV, or similar).
- Understanding of robot kinematics, motion planning, and sensor integration.
- Familiarity with warehouse automation, logistics systems, or industrial automation is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with C++ or Python in robotics applications.
- Knowledge of machine learning applications in robotics.
- Familiarity with cloud-based systems for robot fleet management.
