QA Analyst/Lead
Location: Columbia, SC
Contract Duration: 12 Months
Work Arrangement: One month fully onsite, then hybrid (3 days onsite, 2 days remote)
Eligibility: Only local to SC candidates

Job Summary:
We are seeking a Quality Assurance Analyst Project Lead to join a dynamic team supporting complex, change-oriented projects within the healthcare space. This individual will be responsible for leading QA efforts, automating ETL testing, and ensuring high-quality technical solutions.

Daily Duties / Responsibilities:

  • Perform tests on technical solutions to isolate and solve issues

  • Initiate tests, analyze results, and identify solutions to technical problems

  • Develop test strategies and detailed test cases for data pipelines and transformations

  • Create automated test scripts using Python for ETL processes

  • Write advanced SQL queries for data profiling, validation, and debugging (SQL Server, Oracle)

  • Automate ETL validation processes using Python and Pytest

  • Conduct Web UI automation with Selenium for front-end validation

  • Implement REST API automation for microservices and data ingestion

  • Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business users to clarify requirements

  • Perform regression testing of ETL jobs during enhancements or maintenance cycles

  • Build reusable Python-based test frameworks for automation

  • Integrate test automation into CI/CD pipelines

  • Validate performance benchmarks and ensure scalability of ETL jobs

  • Document test results and defects, and communicate findings effectively

  • Use Git for version control; JIRA or Azure DevOps for test and defect management

  • (Bonus) Experience with orchestration platforms such as Apache Airflow or Prefect

Required Skills:

  • 3+ years translating business requirements or policy documentation into test cases

  • 3+ years building test cases and scenarios into test systems

  • 5+ years automating ETL validation using Python and Pytest

  • 5+ years creating automated Python test scripts for ETL

  • 3+ years writing advanced SQL queries for data validation/debugging (SQL Server, Oracle)

  • 1+ year conducting Web UI automation with Selenium

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience integrating test automation into CI/CD pipelines

  • 5+ years in large enterprise or e-business systems

  • Background in healthcare operations (preferably Medicaid)

  • Proficient in Atlassian tools: JIRA and Confluence

  • Familiarity with both standard SDLC (waterfall) and Agile methodologies
