Position Summary
 
We are seeking a REL Associate Data Engineer to design, develop, and optimize data pipelines and systems for the collection, connection, and storage of data. This role involves building and maintaining ETL workflows, ensuring data quality, and collaborating with business stakeholders to align technical solutions with organizational objectives. The ideal candidate will have strong SQL expertise, hands-on ETL/SSIS experience, and a solid foundation in modern data engineering tools and practices.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and workflows.
  • Develop and maintain ETL processes using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
  • Format and process API-based data (JSON/XML) into SQL Server databases.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather data requirements and translate into technical solutions.
  • Ensure data quality, integrity, and performance across systems.
  • Optimize existing data workflows for performance and reliability.
  • Participate in team initiatives, collaborating with engineers and analysts on data solutions.
  • Contribute to enforcing data engineering best practices and standards.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor s degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, or a related field.
  • 3 5+ years of data engineering experience (ETL, pipelines, data integration).
  • Strong expertise in SQL (queries, optimization, and transformations).
  • Experience with API frameworks and JSON transformations.
  • Experience with Databricks or other modern data processing/analytics platforms.
  • Familiarity with data warehousing, ETL tools, and data system design.
  • Basic knowledge of programming languages (Python, R, SQL).
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
