Title-Oracle DBA
Location-Montreal, QC.
Duration-12+months
Responsibilities
- The installation, configuration, and maintenance of multiple Oracle DBMS environments
- Proactive monitoring and Auditing of all databases
- Backup, recovery, disaster recovery and housekeeping tasks
- Incident, capacity and performance management for both production and development environments and databases
- Consult in design of efficient tables and indexes, apply table and view modifications
- Monitor and tune database performance
- Maintain security of databases by granting and revoking of privileges
- Utilize Database Utilities for the DBMS
- On-call rotation and out of hours working to support incidents and changes
- Significant hands-on experience with a combination of Oracle 12.x and 19c databases
- Strong UNIX experience
- Experience with logical and physical database design
- backup, recovery, and housekeeping
- performance monitoring and tuning
- Strong SQL and scripting skills
- In-depth knowledge of DataGuard, RMAN, and RAC
- Experience with AWS
- 2 or more years technical support experience in Oracle databases on Red Hat Linux
- Experience with Oracle Grid Control, TOAD, DBArtisan and SQL Developer.
