Job Description:
The Oracle EPM EPBCS Consultant will be responsible for the design, configuration, implementation, and support of Oracle Enterprise Planning and Budgeting Cloud Service (EPBCS) solutions. This role involves collaborating with finance, IT, and business stakeholders to deliver robust financial planning, forecasting, and reporting capabilities that align with enterprise performance management goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Solution Design & Development
- Design and implement Oracle EPBCS modules (Financials, Workforce, Capital, Projects, Strategic Modeling).
- Develop business rules, calculation scripts, data maps, data forms, and dashboards.
- Configure dimensions, metadata, security, and integration points within EPBCS.
- Customize business processes and application logic to meet unique business requirements.
- Data Integration & Management
- Manage data flows between EPBCS, ERP systems (e.g., Oracle Cloud ERP, SAP), and other data sources.
- Build and maintain integrations using Data Management (FDMEE), EPM Automate, or Oracle Data Integration tools.
- Ensure data accuracy, validation, and performance optimization.
- Planning & Forecasting Support
- Support financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting cycles.
- Enable driver-based and scenario-based planning.
- Develop reports and dashboards using Oracle Smart View, EPM Reports, and dashboards.
- Administration & Maintenance
- Administer user access, roles, and application maintenance activities
- Perform application upgrades, testing, and troubleshooting.
- Monitor performance and implement best practices for optimization.
- Stakeholder Collaboratio
- Partner with Finance and FP&A teams to translate business requirements into EPM solutions.
- Conduct user training, documentation, and post-implementation support
- Support testing (unit, system, UAT) and ensure successful deployment.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Technical Expertise
- 3 7 years of hands-on experience with Oracle EPBCS / PBCS (Cloud EPM Planning).
- Strong understanding of EPM Cloud configuration, data management, and security setup.
- Experience in developing business rules (Calc Manager, Groovy scripting).
- Proficiency with Smart View, EPM Automate, and Data Management tools.
- Working knowledge of Oracle EPM architecture, metadata management, and integrations.
- Functional Knowledge
- Solid understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
- Knowledge of driver-based modeling and scenario planning.
- Experience in supporting FP&A or corporate finance functions.
- Analytical & Communication Skills
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and documentation skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Ability to work in cross-functional teams in agile or waterfall delivery models.
