Air Dominance Engineering Quality Project Engineer

Boeing Defense Space & Security (BDS): Air Dominance (AD) Engineering Quality has a great opportunity to join our team as the Project Engineer to support Air Dominance Engineering in carrying out process improvements and addressing AD Engineering associated customer issued Corrective Action Requests.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Address AD Engineering associated customer issued Corrective Action Requests to include coordination and development of Corrective Action Plans, Implementation action tracking and closure, and Verification activities and reporting.
  • Provides the Engineering leadership and guidance to teams consisting of multiple skill areas and functions.
  • Facilitating recurring and ad-hoc meetings, technical exchanges, and reviews involving multiple internal and external organizations across multiple engineering teams and functions.
  • Supporting assessment and collaborative resolution of complex multi-functional technical and procedural issues among multiple diverse Customers
  • Getting results through the development, implementation, and maintenance of detailed processes, tools, schedules and metrics
  • Defines Preventative Actions for risk mitigation and opportunity.

This is a unique opportunity to provide critical input to the Air Dominance Leadership Team and connect with BDS Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Supplier Management Leadership. Opportunity to develop, demonstrate, and hone project management skills at program, site, and division levels.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at Berkeley, MO.

Travel may be required up to 5% of the time; Domestically depending on business needs.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
  • 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experienc
  • 3 or more years' experience leading projects or engineering teams
  • 3 or more years' experience with producing technical communication both written and verbal

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Experience leading multi-functional teams or projects
  • Experience with RCCA and Quality Concepts
  • Experience working on a military/defense program/contract
  • Experience with Supply Chain processes
  • Experience collaborating with DCMA/Defense Customers
  • Experience providing briefings to senior and/ or executive level management
  • Experience working with organizational leaders to develop & implement plans & objectives to meet requirements and create reports for management reviews & track performance to plan.

Typical Education/Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), computer science, engineering data science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
