Description

Are you a tech-savvy professional with expertise in Level I & II desktop support? Do you thrive in fast-paced environments and enjoy solving a variety of technical challenges? Our Oakland client is seeking a Desktop Support Specialist to assist them as they complete a critical network migration project. This 1-month contract role offers an exciting opportunity to utilize your skills while working onsite in a collaborative and dynamic team environment - all while handling a backlog of tickets.

This role is a contract role, onsite 5 days a week in Oakland (City Center).

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide desktop support to resolve Level I & II IT tickets during the network migration project.
  • Address approximately 50 tickets in the backlog, covering various technical challenges.
  • Troubleshoot issues related to Windows 11, including remote troubleshooting using Bomgar.
  • Perform software installations (e.g., Adobe Acrobat, Office 365), including privilege escalation as needed.
  • Configure and support printers and other peripherals.
  • Assist with mobile device management in Microsoft Intune, including disenrollment/re-enrollment of devices.
  • Handle tasks related to Okta, such as enrolling identities and setting up QR codes for users.
  • Collaborate with end users to resolve technical issues in a Windows and Office 365 environment.
  • Note: No Active Directory (AD) tasks required.


Requirements

  • Proven experience inLevel I & II desktop support(contract or onsite experience preferred).
  • Strong skills in troubleshootingWindows 11, remote support tools likeBomgar, andOffice 365applications.
  • Familiarity withmobile device management(Intune experience is a plus) andOktaadministration.
  • Ability to manage software installations and configurations efficiently.
  • Professional communication skills and the ability to work well with end users to resolve issues.
  • Availability to complete the contract onsite in Oakland for the project duration.
