Job Details

  • Responsible for full life cycle of in-person and hybrid events within the Judiciary; Events vary in size, up to ~500 attendees. This includes planning, setup, production, and tear down of all needed equipment.
  • Working with digital audio mixers, powered speakers, and wireless microphones.
  • Setting up audio boards, audio snakes, stage boxes, and antennas.
  • Routing audio feeds to appropriate faders, buses/mixes, and sends.
  • Meeting with event coordinators to discuss audio, lighting, and video requirements.
  • Altering venue arrangements according to event requirements.
  • Edit recordings of events to organizers expectations.
  • Conducting audio, video, and performance quality checks on AV equipment.
  • Operating audio and video equipment during live events.
  • Troubleshooting equipment.
  • Striking audio and video equipment and packing up after events.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills along with ability to work effectively within a team environment.
  • Some after hours and statewide travel is required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • 3 years of professional working experience with audio visual equipment.
  • Experienced in operating digital audio mixers and wireless microphones.
  • 3 years of live production experience.
  • Experience in post-production editing.
  • Working knowledge of video conferencing platforms in a live production environment.
  • Working knowledge of PC s & basic understanding of network topology.
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment.
  • Valid Virginia driver s license.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor s or associate degree in a field of Communications, Information Technology, or Live Production.
  • Experience in sound system design, Dual Channel FFT measurement, and Sound System Tuning.
  • Experience with Behringer X32, and Allen & Heath SQ consoles.
  • Experience with Shure wireless microphones and Wireless Workbench.
  • Experience in AV over IP technology and protocols.
  • Experience with QSC Q-Sys.
  • Dante Certifications.
  • Audio editing skills in REAPER, Audacity, or similar digital audio workstation (DAW).
  • Video editing skills with Black Magic DaVinci Resolve or similar Non-Linear Editor (NLE).
  • Worked with live video switchers, PTZs, and encoders.
  • Livestreaming software experience like Vmix.
  • Experience creating custom graphics.
  • Experience setting up cameras, tripods, and lighting equipment.
  • Experience terminating various types of cable including Cat5, XLR, and SDi.
  • Experience setting color and white balance on a variety of cameras.
  • Able to drive a 26-foot box truck.
