Job Details

We are seeking an experienced SAP Device Management (DM) and Energy Data Management (EDM) Architect to support a key transformational initiative within the Meter to Bill division of IT Applications. This role will focus on designing and delivering innovative, integrated solutions across Entergy s SAP Customer Systems landscape.

Working closely with Enterprise Architecture, Business Analysts, and cross-functional IT teams, you will drive solution architecture, system enhancements, and strategic integrations particularly across SAP IS-U, SAP HANA, and Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) platforms. This role also serves as a key advisor to business and technical stakeholders, shaping technology strategy and execution.

Key Responsibilities

< data-start="1099" data-end="1151">Solution Architecture & Application Support</>

  • Serve as the technical subject matter expert (SME) for SAP IS-U, with a focus on DM and EDM modules.

  • Design and deliver application enhancements, configuration changes, and minor ABAP code fixes.

  • Ensure seamless integration between SAP IS-U and external systems such as MDMS (Meter Data Management System), supporting end-to-end AMI and billing functionality.

  • Work closely with business users to gather requirements, explain system capabilities, troubleshoot issues, and translate needs into scalable SAP solutions.

  • Support technical roadmapping efforts, lifecycle management, and adoption of industry best practices in utility operations.

  • Assist with Point of View (POV) and Proof of Concept (POC) initiatives to evaluate emerging technologies.

  • Act as technical lead on assigned projects, overseeing solution design, development, and deployment.

  • Participate in project portfolio planning and provide input on IT estimations and complexity assessments.

  • Create and maintain solution designs at conceptual, logical, and physical levels.

  • Collaborate with vendors on solution sourcing, selection, and delivery.

  • Ensure adherence to enterprise architecture standards and traceability of business requirements through all project phases (Initiation to Deployment).

Qualifications

< data-start="2502" data-end="2533">Education & Experience</>

  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

  • Minimum of 10 years of IT experience, with at least 5 years in SAP DM and EDM solution support.

  • Strong experience with SAP IS-U, SAP HANA, and utility industry business processes.

  • Hands-on programming experience with ABAP is required.

  • Experience working in customer systems or utilities is strongly preferred.

  • In-depth knowledge of SAP Device Management and Energy Data Management, including their integration with SAP Billing.

  • Proven experience implementing DM/EDM enhancements and managing end-to-end integrations with AMI and MDMS.

  • Familiarity with obtaining billing determinants from MDMS and integrating CCS with MDMS.

  • Working knowledge of IT infrastructure, application development, and operational environments.

  • Understanding of solution architecture concepts and enterprise integration.
