Description

SAIC is seeking an Information Security (INFOSEC) Specialist in Arlington, VA to support the Army National Guard (ARNG) and the broader military intelligence community.

Note: This role requires physical presence on site at the Army National Guard (ARNG) Temple Army Readiness Center (TARC) facility at 111 South George Mason Drive, Arlington, VA with hours 0730-1600. Telework is available per the direction of the government supervisor.

Job Duties:
  • Under the direction of ARNG G-2 leadership support the daily operations of the Information Security program by managing security products for civilian, military and contractor personnel for ARNG personnel at the TARC facility.
  • Utilize Microsoft and various security database management tools such as Defense Technical Information Center (DTIC) for classification review.
  • Remain current with Army and DOD established security policies and procedures. Provide suggested methods and execute standard operating procedures in accordance with Arlington Hall Station guidance for personnel in/out processing.
  • Assist with inspection preparation to include, but not limited to, Cyber Operational Readiness Assessment (CORA) and Inspector General Inspection. This includes assisting with preparing administrative documents required for the inspection.
  • Assist with annual Security training requirements.
  • Document processes, provide guidance, and assist in resolving security issues.
  • Coordinate with the other TARC security stakeholders to ensure secure room standards are met.
  • Conduct routine security inspections of TARC secured rooms to ensure proper handling and storage of classified materials.
  • Ensure control measures to safeguard and prevent loss of classified material are in place and update as required.
  • Ensure classification guides are distributed and maintained.
  • Assist in the implementation for the release of controlled unclassified information (CUI).
  • Assist with receipt, storage, transfer and destruction of classified material.
  • Ensure need-to-know requirements prior to individuals being granted access to classified information.
  • Identifies, investigate, and report actual or suspected threats to security, compromises and other INFOSEC violations through appropriate channels.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's and six (6) years of experience; Master's and four (4) years of experience; four (4) years of experience considered in lieu of degree.

Required Security Clearance:
  • Active Secret clearance (U.S. Citizenship required) required with the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance.

Required Skills:
  • Experience with of Army Regulation 380-67: "Personnel Security Program" and DoD Manual 5200.02: "Procedures for the DoD Personnel Security Program (PSP)".
  • Possess strong written and oral communication skills.
