Job Description
U.S. Bank is seeking a full-time Senior Software Engineer (Multiple openings) in Atlanta, GA.
Essential Responsibilities:
Serve as a Senior Software Engineer in the Consumer Credit Card Services Department and work on projects for the Partner Card Servicing Platform.
Basic Qualifications:
This position requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Information Technology and Engineering and 5 years of related (progressive, post-baccalaureate) software development or IT analysis experience.
Required Skills/Experience:
Must also have 36 months of experience with each of the following: 1) Designing and developing applications based on user requirements and analyzing, designing and preparing functional and technical specifications. 2) Performing code reviews and technical design reviews of applications and performing smoke testing and integration testing after deploying code to lower life cycle environments. 3) Creating unit test cases, performing code analysis and logging and fixing defects during testing and identifying root cause of major issues for applications running in production. 4) Creating REST based web services, maintaining version control of the source code and working on Agile model and XP practices like pair programming and test-driven development. 5) Performing work using the following tools/technologies: Java, J2EE, Spring, Rally, Junit, Rest Assured, SonarQube, Fortify, Splunk, Subversion, GitHub, Oracle, DB2, SQL Server, Concourse, Jenkins, TeamCity, Tomcat, Pivotal Cloud Foundry, Microservices, Eclipse, Intellij. Employer will accept experience gained concurrently. May be subject to background checks and other regulatory requirements relevant to our industry and operations.

- Be responsible for designing, testing, developing, operating and maintaining products, sometimes under the guidance of principal engineers.
- Work in Agile model and deliver the business needs within the timelines.
- Follow best microservices architecture principles and build Rest or GraphQL APIs.
- Identify bugs and code vulnerabilities using automation tools like SonarQube, Fortify.
- Use CI-CD tools like Jenkins to promote the applications into Kubernetes cluster.
- Perform smoke tests and integration tests after deploying code to lower life cycle environments.
- Work with performance team to perform load test and validate application behavior with required customer traffic volumes.
- Log and fix any defects identified during testing and identifying root cause of major issues for applications running in production.
- Monitor application health using the tools such as AppDynamics and Splunk dashboards.
- Perform code reviews to ensure adherence to engineering best practices and alignment with established development standards.
- Implement code that leverages reactive programming using Spring Web flux for asynchronous processing.
