Title: Oracle PPM Functional Specialist

Job Type: Full Time, Perm

Location: 100% Remote, occasional travel

Summary

We are seeking an experienced Oracle PPM (Project Portfolio Management) Functional Support Specialist to support the Client s business units in streamlining and optimizing its project accounting and financial processes. This is an exciting role with lot of opportunities to learn and apply cutting edge technologies in transforming business processes, strengthening internal controls, and ensuring robust documentation and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support Oracle PPM implementation efforts, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems and business processes.
  • Streamline project accounting workflows, with a strong focus on process improvement, operational efficiency, and the implementation of internal controls.
  • Apply project accounting principles, including:
    • Percent of completion method
    • Completed contract method
  • Collaborate with project managers, finance teams, and other stakeholders to design and implement operational processes that support accounting and compliance requirements.
  • Document accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls, ensuring alignment with SOX and other regulatory standards.
  • Work with tools such as Concur or similar platforms to collect, track, and allocate project costs.
  • Support business process change initiatives, including user training and change management.
  • Travel is needed to support on-site implementation, training, and stakeholder meetings.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field.
  • 10+ years of proven experience with Oracle PPM modules (Oracle EBS or Oracle Fusion Cloud PPM).
  • Strong background in project accounting, budgeting, billing, and revenue recognition.
  • Experience with Oracle/ERP implementations and business process improvement.
  • Experience in the construction industry is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Concur or similar project cost management tools.
  • Project management experience is a bonus.
  • General understanding of SOX and implementation of internal controls.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to train users and support change management.
