Role Title: OTM Consultant
Employment Type: Contract

Preferred Location: Remote - must be able to support some overlap of EST time zone
Role Description:
This team is seeking skilled Technical Functional OTM Specialists to support two key projects. First our OTM upgrade initiative across three environments. The primary goal is to successfully complete the on-premises / in place upgrade to OTM version 6.5.3 by the end of the year. Second to develop OTM enhancements for our Epes General Commodity business model.
This role requires a deep understanding of both technical and functional aspects of OTM, with an emphasis on developing new functionality, comprehensive testing, Additionally, expertise in database administration and infrastructure support related to OTM environments is required. The specific skill sets required for either project are below. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the end-to-end OTM upgrade process across three environments, targeting completion by year-end.
- Develop and implement new functionalities in OTM aligned with business requirements.
- Conduct thorough testing of all enhancements, customizations, and system upgrades.
- Create, review, and optimize stored procedures, SQL queries, and database objects to ensure system performance and integrity.
- Collaborate with infrastructure teams to address database, server, and integration layer requirements for the upgrade.
- Ensure seamless handling of updates, patches, and new versions, maintaining system stability and performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical and functional issues post-upgrade.
- Provide documentation, training, and knowledge transfer to internal teams as needed.
Requirements:
- 7+ years of hands-on experience with Oracle Transportation Management (OTM), including at least 2 full lifecycle OTM upgrade projects.
- Proven experience specifically with OTM upgrades to version 6.5.x or similar major releases.
- Strong technical and functional expertise in OTM architecture, workflows, configurations, and integration points.
- Experience with Oracle database administration tasks supporting OTM, including schema updates, performance tuning, and backup/recovery processes.
- Familiarity with infrastructure aspects such as server migrations, and middleware configurations related to OTM environments.
- Proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, and creating/optimizing stored procedures.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and deliver in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Exposure to working in large-scale logistics, transportation, or supply chain environments.
- Experience with performance testing and capacity planning for OTM environments.
