Overview

Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law. Responsibilities
As a Technical IT Director, you will:
- Direct day-to-day IT operations supporting the customer's acquisition support mission.
- Engage in hands-on technical work, troubleshooting, and resolving complex IT system and infrastructure issues.
- Coordinate closely with Information Assurance, Service Desk, and Software Development teams to maintain seamless operations.
- Oversee the continuous integration and deployment of software updates.
- Lead and mentor a team of skilled IT Engineers on new and ongoing technical projects.
- Manage personnel development, conduct performance reviews, and foster professional growth among AMERICAN SYSTEMS employee-owners.
Qualifications
Required:
- Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with current Polygraph (required for consideration)
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM field
- DoD 8570/8140 IAT II level certification (e.g., Security+, CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, CND, SSCP)
- 10+ years of technical experience supporting IT systems, networks, and software development
- 5+ years of experience supporting Information Assurance/Cybersecurity
- Proven management or leadership experience guiding technical teams
- Demonstrated success communicating with senior-level customers
- Strong working knowledge of:
- VMware and virtual computing environments
- Cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, etc.)
- Networking, storage systems, and information security principles
- Virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI), such as Citrix
Ideal Candidate Background Includes:
- At least 5 years of leadership experience
- Database administration experience
- Advanced VMware experience or certification
- AWS or Azure certification
