Job Details
Duties: Ensures accurate and timely processing of payroll and related tax reporting to federal andstate agencies. Provides consultation, information, services, analysis, judgment anddirection to HRAS team and clients to process payroll and provide payroll related services ina timely and accurate manner. Investigate, recommend and implement improvements tothe payroll process.
Skills:
- Strong computer skills including experience with spreadsheets required.
- Knowledge ofFederal and State statutes and regulations pertaining to Payroll and Tax Reporting(preferred, but not required).
- Proficiency using mainframe applications and windows-basedsoftware. Ability to quickly learn and work with new software is a must.
- Excellentinterpersonal skills and customer orientation.
- Candidate must have demonstratedinterpersonal effectiveness, and skills in both oral and written communication.
- Ability tomanage multiple projects and priorities is essential.
- Strong analytical and problemresolution skills.
- Decision making and judgment capabilities, attention to detail and followthrough.
- Maintain high knowledge of HR functions and processes.
- Effective teamwork skills.Excellent time management organizational skills.
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP), preferred.
Education:
- Requires a Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Management or related field and five years of experience in payroll,
- Associate's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Management or related field and seven years of experience in payroll or
- HS Diploma/GED and 9 years of experience in payroll.

UKG knowledge preferred
CPP or FPC preferred
Oracle Experience strongly preferred
ADP SmartCompliance strongly preferred
Running Payroll Processing for a large complex employer
Payroll Tax experience (all 50 states)
Advanced Excel skills
Hours Per Day: 8.00
Hours Per Week 40.00
Pay rate: $/hr on W2.
