Job Title: Senior Systems Engineer
Location- Hybrid (3 days a week on site) in Laurel, MD
Duration:12+ Months

Must haves from the manager:
Systems Engineer with hands on experience with VMWare.
Experienced with Virtualization & Storage.
Experienced with MS Azure and Exchange Online.
Strong Cloud experience.
Someone familiar with SaaS services as well.
Ideal candidate comes from Government or Banking background but not required.

Summary:
The Senior Systems Engineer is responsible for the design, implementation, and support of enterprise infrastructure,
including virtualization, servers, storage, cloud endpoint management, and Microsoft SaaS platforms.
This role also leads efforts in security compliance, disaster recovery, and infrastructure automation,
while mentoring junior team members and supporting strategic IT initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
Manage and secure virtualized datacenters, cloud endpoints, and storage systems.
Administer Microsoft SaaS tools (Teams, Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive).
Implement and support Microsoft Defender, Intune, and cloud security solutions.
Lead infrastructure planning, performance optimization, and disaster recovery.
Automate system management and ensure compliance with security standards.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship within the team.

Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
58 years in enterprise infrastructure, virtualization, and cloud security.
Hands-on experience with VMware, Microsoft server infrastructure, and Red Hat Linux.
Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and automation.
Relevant certifications (e.g., Azure Administrator, VMware VCP, Intune, Defender).
