Oracle Application Test Lead

We are looking for an experienced hand on Application Test Lead to join our team and ensure the quality and performance across our applications. As an application test lead, you will be responsible for designing, planning, executing, and reporting on various types of testing activities, such as functional, integration, regression, performance, and security testing. You will also manage and mentor a team of test engineers, collaborate with developers and stakeholders, and contribute to the continuous improvement of the testing process and practices. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a test strategy and plan that aligns with the project objectives, scope and schedule.
• Work with the project team to define and document test scenarios and cases based on the requirements and specifications.
• Review/approve and develop test artifacts, such as test scripts, test data and test results.
• Coordinate and oversee the test execution, ensuring that the testing activities follow the test plan and adhere to the quality standards.
• Monitor and report on the testing progress, status and metrics.
• Identify, track and manage defects using a defect tracking system.
• Communicate and collaborate with developers, business analysts and other key stakeholders to ensure timely and effective resolution of issues.
• Evaluate and improve the testing process, tools, and methodologies.
• Provide leadership, guidance, and feedback to the test team members.
• Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in software testing.
• Establish high quality standards and lead by example throughout all areas of the role.
• This role requires close partnership and collaboration with team members throughout the business, IT, external service providers and vendors.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or related field.
• At least 7 years of experience in software testing, including 2 years of experience in leading test teams.
• Experience with testing in an applications environment that includes Oracle Cloud Applications.
• Proficient in various types of testing - functional, integration, regression, performance and security.
• Familiar with test automation tools and frameworks, such as Selenium, Cucumber, TestNG, etc.
• Knowledge of database concepts and SQL queries.
• Experience in using defect tracking tools, such as Jira, Bugzilla, etc.
• Excellent communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
• Ability to articulate technical issues to a non-technical audience.
• Ability to present effectively to an audience of individuals up and down the organization structure.

• Demonstrate extensive experience in software testing, including hands-on experience in developing and executing test plans.
• Proven track record of leading testing efforts in complex software implementation projects.

• Possess familiarity with Oracle testing tools, showcasing the ability to leverage these tools for effective testing of Oracle applications.
• Experience with tools such as Oracle Application Testing Suite (OATS) or Oracle Test Manager is a plus.

• Exhibit strong analytical skills to assess complex software systems and identify potential areas of improvement.
• Demonstrate problem-solving skills in addressing defects and challenges identified during the testing process.
