Required Qualifications

Confluent Platform Expertise: Expert in installing and maintaining Confluent Platform components including Apache Kafka, Confluent Control Center, Confluent Schema Registry, connectors, Confluent Replicator, and Confluent Security Plugins.
Confluent Kafka Administration: Strong administration experience for Confluent Kafka.
Event-Driven Architecture (EDA) Administration: Experience administering Event-Driven Architecture Components: Apache Kafka, Kafka Brokers, Zookeeper, Confluent Control Center, Confluent Schema Registry, Connect cluster, etc.
Platform Lifecycle Management: Experience performing Confluent Platform installation, upgrades, and maintenance.
Large-Scale Cluster Management: Experience in managing large-scale multi-node Kafka cluster environments.
Role Overview
The Kafka Messaging Infrastructure Lead is a pivotal role responsible for partnering with various technology teams to ensure seamless integration of functions, identifying and defining necessary system enhancements, analyzing existing system logic, identifying problems, and recommending and implementing solutions within the Kafka messaging infrastructure. This role requires an advanced understanding of application support principles and interpretive thinking to develop innovative solutions.
Responsibilities
Partnership & Integration: Collaborate with multiple technology teams and management to ensure appropriate integration of functions to meet organizational goals.
System Enhancement & Problem Solving: Identify and define necessary system enhancements, analyze existing system logic, pinpoint problems, and recommend/implement solutions.
Expertise & Analysis: Provide expert-level understanding of application support principles. Formulate and define systems scope and objectives for complex, high-impact application enhancements and problem resolution through in-depth analysis and evaluation of complex business processes, systems, and industry standards, document requirements.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, and Systems Analysts to determine and document system impacts and support requirements.
Technology Implications: Consider the implications of applying technology to the current environment.
Risk Management: Identify risks, vulnerabilities, and security issues; communicate impact; and propose risk mitigation options.
Mentorship & Leadership: Act as an advisor or coach to new or lower-level analysts; allocate work.
Strategic Influence: Directly impact the business by influencing strategic functional decisions through advice, counsel, or provided services.
Communication & Diplomacy: Persuade and influence others through strong, comprehensive communication and diplomacy skills.
Compliance & Ethics: Appropriately assess risk in business decisions, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Client, its clients, and assets. This includes driving compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment, and escalating, managing, and reporting control issues with transparency.
