Senior AWS Cloud Systems Administrator

M9 Solutions is seeking a Senior AWS Cloud Administrator to work on a government contract for a client located in San Antonio, TX. An active TS/SCI clearance is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide subject matter proficiency for work described in the task.
• Responsible for providing analytical skills to support process improvement, specialized studies, and definition of requirements.
• Typical duties include analysis, planning, developing requirements documents, building functional models, developing procedures, developing functional architectures, and other related management and technical duties.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI security clearance.
• 10+ years of overall experience in one or more of the functional areas listed below.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field is required, master's degree may substitute for 2 years of experience.
• 10+ years of IT systems administrative experience with both Microsoft and Linux platforms.
• Proficient understanding of maintenance (patching, STIG, and upgrade processes) on AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Demonstrated experience and/or training in system administration related to managing and operating workloads on AWS systems.
• Experience deploying, managing, and operating workloads on AWS as well as implementing security controls and compliance requirements.
• Demonstrated experience in system administration support and management related to Amazon EKS.
• Familiarity with using both the AWS Management Console and the AWS Command Line Interface (CLI).
• Understanding of the AWS Well-Architected Framework and AWS networking and security services.
• Proficiency in AWS tools such as Kubernetes, EKS, Diode, Lambda, etc., orchestrated/deployed in a cloud environment.
• Demonstrated experience in system administration and supporting development and test teams in AWS, and an applied understanding of Kubernetes and traditional RHEL servers.
• Kubernetes CKA certification and/or training and 2+ years of applied experience on containerized platforms.
• IAT Level II certification.
• 2+ years of applied experience with Container Orchestration and/or application deployment.
• At least 3 of the trainings or certifications listed below is preferred; 4+ years of proven relevant experience may be substituted as applicable to each certification:
  • AWS Cloud Practitioner (Foundational)
  • AWS SysOps Administrator (Associate)
  • Operating a Production Kubernetes Cluster
  • Kubernetes and Cloud Native Associate (KCNA)
  • Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)
  • Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE)
  • RH294: RHEL Linux Automation with Ansible

$60,000 - $180,000 USD
