Akkodis is seeking a Lab Transport Engineer for a contract with a client in Plano, TX/Dallas, TX. This role requires hands-on experience in lab resource setup and support, including equipment installation and maintenance.
Rate Range: $40/hour to 41/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Pay Details: $40.00 to $41.00 per hour

Lab Transport Engineer job responsibilities include:
- Set up and configure lab test beds based on requirements from IT, planning teams, and vendors.
- Ensure lab environments are ready prior to testing or development activities.
- Schedule and manage lab resource availability, coordinating usage across teams.
- Provide hands-on support for equipment, including installation, fiber maintenance, and hardware changes.
- Troubleshoot and escalate test bed issues, engaging vendors when necessary.
- Maintain lab infrastructure and inventories to ensure production-like reliability and readiness.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in lab support, transport engineering, or network infrastructure roles.
- Hands-on experience with equipment installation, fiber maintenance, and hardware configuration.
- Strong ability to manage lab resources, troubleshoot test bed issues, and coordinate with vendors and internal teams.
