Cabin Products Engineer (Experienced and Lead-Levels)

Boeing Global Services (BGS) is currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Experience and Lead-Level Cabin Products Engineers to support the Commercial Modification team in Long Beach, CA.

The candidate will support the design, qualification, and certification of interior cabin products. Candidates should have a background in the electrical, systems, or mechanical aspects of cabin products.

Candidates will be required to work with the global cabin products teams located in Bangalore - India, Seattle - USA, and Hamburg - Germany. This role will be reporting to the Cabin Products Engineering Manager and working with global engineering teams, across multiple time-zones, to support full life cycle of electromechanical products.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Lead and/or support the trade studies, requirements definition, design, qualification, and certification of new interior cabin products.
  • Provide technical oversight and guidance of cabin product development projects to global cabin product teams, including adherence to engineering, drawing requirements and processes.
  • Serve as Subject Matter Expert supporting cabin product development projects, including participating in design reviews and coordination with other SMEs.
  • Provide guidelines for creating compliance documentation (analysis, test plans and reports) to support product qualification.
  • Develop cost reduction proposals for new electromechanical products.
  • Develop project schedule and support its implementation.
  • Collaborate and communicate between multidisciplinary teams, such as software, systems, mechanical and electrical teams.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work independently under minimal supervision as well as in a team environment, and the ability to adapt to a changing work statement.
  • This position will be 100% onsite in Long Beach, CA.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (including manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
  • 3+ years' experience developing and qualifying new aircraft cabin products.
  • 2+ years' experience with Boeing commercial aircraft.
  • Willing to travel up to 10% of the time.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • 5+ years' experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (Higher education includes college, university, technical school, licensing/certification programs, etc.).
  • Extensive experience in design, analysis, and qualification of electromechanical aircraft cabin products. This experience could be in the electrical, mechanical, or both aspects of the products.
  • Recent experience completing qualification of components to Boeing D6 or DO-160 requirements.
  • Experience with product development and qualification of new products that meet regulatory, industry and Boeing standards.
  • Experience using CATIA v5, ENOVIA, PDM.
  • Experience with Boeing's engineering processes and systems.
  • Experience working with a global team outside of traditional hours.

Experienced-Level Summary Pay Range: $102,850 - $139,150

Lead-Level Summary Pay Range: $128,350 - $173,650
