The IG Senior Systems Analyst (“Senior Systems Analyst”) is responsible for leading the governance and protection of client file data across the firm. This role supports the implementation, maintenance, and enhancement of systems and protocols related to ethical walls, Outside Counsel Guidelines (OCGs), and broader client data governance. The Senior Systems Analyst collaborates with Data Governance, Matter Mobility, Privacy, Intake and Records teams to coordinate and monitor client file security workflows.

In partnership with IT and external consultants, the Senior Systems Analyst plays a critical role in designing, testing, and deploying tools and automated workflows—leveraging platforms such as ServiceNow, MS Purview, and iManage Security Policy Manager—to operationalize information governance policies and ensure compliance with firm policies and client requirements.
The Senior Systems Analyst reports to the IG Manager: Data Governance & Operations.

Responsibilities:
•    Serve as the lead for client file security and governance, ensuring alignment with firm policies and client requirements.
•    Manage daily operations related to client file governance, including access controls, policy enforcement, and exception handling.
•    Develop and operationalize procedures and quality control measures to support secure and compliant data handling.
•    Design, test, and implement automated workflows to support Information Governance initiatives, enhancing efficiency and auditability.
•    Monitor and audit access controls, ethical wall effectiveness, and OCG compliance across enterprise systems.
•    Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to implement governance policies and track project milestones and deliverables.
•    Partner with IT and third-party vendors to support Information Governance technology goals, including data analysis, remediation, process automation, integrations, and system configuration.
•    Translate OCG and ethical wall requirements into actionable technical specifications and system configurations.
•    Prepare metrics, dashboards, and narrative reports to support leadership presentations and compliance reviews.
•    Conduct research and analysis using reporting tools to inform governance strategy and decision-making.
•    Develop and maintain documentation, SOPs, and training materials related to client file security and governance.
•    Support integration of Information Governance policies into document management systems and related platforms.
•    Assist with incident response and remediation efforts related to unauthorized data access or policy violations.
•    Participate in system upgrades, testing, and change management processes to ensure continuity of governance controls.
•    Assume additional responsibilities as assigned.
•    This role requires 60% in office presence; remote work is permissible 40% of the time.

Qualifications:
•    Four-year college degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
•    Minimum 5 years’ experience in Information Technology, Information Governance, Data Governance or Legal Operations, preferably in a legal setting or professional services environment.
•    Administrative-level experience with ethical wall and OCG management tools (e.g., Intapp, iManage, NetDocuments) preferred.
•    Experience with Microsoft Purview, SharePoint, and/or workflow automation tools (e.g., Power Automate, Power BI, etc.) preferred.
•    Familiarity with SQL, reporting tools, and system documentation preferred.
•    Understanding of data privacy, client confidentiality, and legal compliance requirements.
•    Excellent planning, organizational and project management skills.
•    Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
•    Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
•    Effective oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.
•    Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
