The Product Owner is responsible for developing user stories, managing the product backlog, creating, and maintaining the product roadmap to assigned products and projects. Collects and analyzes information from system users to formulate the scope and objectives of the system. Prepares flow charts, models, and procedures and conducts feasibility studies to design possible system solutions. Estimates the cost of system solutions, prepares project plans and timelines to provide input into decisions, and prioritizes projects and allocation of resources. Works in a cross-functional team environment and collaborates effectively to implement and maintain solutions. Supports senior leadership in the development of policy and strategy implementation for short-term results. Problems faced are difficult to moderately complex. Influences others outside of job area regarding policies, practices, and procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with both the scrum and product development departments to ensure the products meet specific objectives as outlined by stakeholders and clients.
  • Research and determine the business needs to determine which features to include on products and will pitch ideas for product features to stakeholders. act as the primary contact between the scrum teams, product development departments, Applications Team, and stakeholders.
  • Develops user stories, establishes and maintains prioritized backlog, develops product roadmap with estimations and delivery timeline.
  • Creates diagrams required for build items in the backlog and works with developers, solutions architects, and enterprise architecture to ensure accuracy.


Requirements:

  • High School Diploma/GED required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology and/or related field preferred
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Product Owner, Scrum Master, Systems/Application Manager Management, Business Application Analysis, Technology Business Process Development and/or related
  • Advanced knowledge and experience in software development methodologies including UML, Agile, Waterfall.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, planning, analysis, and organization skills.
  • Advanced business/application analysis skills.

For positions that are permitted or required to work remotely, employees may conduct work only within the United States and only in states where the Company is already conducting business, unless for brief periods, consistent with Company policy.

In the states of Colorado, California, Washington, and Illinois; the anticipated pay range/scale for this position is $102,753 to $128,441. Actual starting base pay within this range will depend on factors including geographic location, education, training, skills, and relevant experience.

  • Position is also eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.

The Company provides 9 paid holidays per year and, upon hire, new employees will accrue paid time off (PTO) at a rate of 0.0577 hours of PTO per hour worked, up to a maximum of 120 hours per year.
