The Work

This position at the F-35 Training System Support Center (TSSC) will be a member of a small Eglin AFB-based team responsible for the network and computational infrastructure used by TSSC software engineering, courseware development, configuration management and integration/test teams who collectively sustain fielded F-35 training system products.

This suite of hardware and software is collectively called the Courseware Production Environment (CWPE). The selected individual will be assigned a variety of tasks associated with operation, maintenance, and upgrade of the CWPE. While typical network systems administration tasks for the development, configuration management, and integration/test resources within the CWPE will be a major element of this position, the selected candidate will also be given systems engineering tasks associated with requirements development, design, hardware/software implementation and integration, and integration / test for upgrades to the development environment.

While primarily responsible for the Level 1 TSSC CWPE at Eglin AFB, this position will have some responsibility for supporting smaller CWPEs at CONOCONUS Level 2 TSSC locations and some travel will be required.

Note: This position requires a candidate who is a U.S. Citizen and has the ability to obtain an Interim Secret security clearance prior to start. The role is located at a facility that requires special access.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree
3 or more years of Systems engineering experience
Experience with virtualized VMWare environments (ESXi) and VDI (Virtual Desktop Infrastructure) Horizon View
Experience with network systems administration for Windows systems including virtual desktop/thin client management
Experience supporting a 'lab environment' with multiple using teams and the need for frequent re-configuration of assets to support both development, unit test, and system test activities
Experience with developing and troubleshooting using the PowerShell scripting language

Desired skills

Knowledge of F-35 Training System architecture, implementation and infrastructure used to support modification of all elements of the System (including Training Devices)
Familiarity with F-35 Training System and hardware/software configuration management and product change workflow
Active Secret clearance

Work Schedule Information

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

National Pay Statement

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $89,300 - $157,550. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

Premium Pay Statement

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York is $102,800 - $178,135. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
