Job Details

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Technical Product Manager I to join the POM (Product Operations Management) team. This role will lead product development and strategy for complex technology, data, and analytics products in a high-growth area. You will be responsible for aligning product strategy with organizational goals, managing roadmaps, and collaborating closely with engineering, business stakeholders, and leadership.

This is a hybrid role requiring regular interaction with teams across business units and a deep understanding of product lifecycle management, Agile methodology, and technical collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive product discovery and refinement sessions to translate complex, ambiguous business problems into viable product solutions.

  • Outline and present design approaches using low-fidelity tools, then collaborate with teams to create higher-fidelity representations.

  • Gather, develop, and prioritize detailed product requirements; define the Definition of Done (DoD) and acceptance criteria.

  • Maintain regular contact with end users to guide roadmap priorities using feedback and multiple data sources.

  • Conduct usability testing and analyze user behavior to improve product features and performance.

  • Communicate technical product strategy to stakeholders, simplifying complex concepts for non-technical audiences.

  • Collaborate with operations, engineering, QA, and UAT teams to ensure product features meet user needs and are technically feasible.

  • Manage conflicting stakeholder requirements and maintain alignment on core priorities.

  • Act as a subject matter expert on the assigned product.

  • Gain a broad understanding of the mortgage-backed securities business to inform product direction.

  • Support budgeting and resource allocation for product initiatives.

  • Influence senior leaders and cross-functional stakeholders to drive product success.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Host discovery and refinement sessions with stakeholders.

  • Create wireframes and user stories for development.

  • Regularly meet with users to gather feedback and prioritize updates.

  • Partner with engineering and QA teams on technical design and implementation.

  • Coordinate testing efforts and validate against acceptance criteria.

  • Manage stakeholder communications and product backlog.

  • Analyze marketplace needs and business drivers related to product functionality.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field (Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline), or equivalent work experience.

  • Proven experience as a technical product manager in a software or technology environment.

  • Strong technical background with hands-on knowledge of product development and engineering practices.

  • Deep understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies.

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of conveying complex ideas clearly.

  • Experience managing stakeholders across business and technical teams.

  • Expertise in defining and delivering large-scale product solutions in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong prioritization and project management skills.

  • Knowledge of mortgage-backed securities is a strong plus.
