Configuration & Infrastructure Network Engineer

We are seeking highly motivated and detail-oriented CCNA Certified Network Field Engineers to support a long-term, multi-year infrastructure project. This role is ideal for professionals who thrive in dynamic environments, enjoy field work, and possess strong networking expertise. The ideal candidate is punctual, dependable, and collaborates well in a team setting. Reliable transportation is required for travel between various work sites.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and troubleshoot local area networks (LANs), wireless networks, VoIP systems, IP public address/intercom, and IP video camera systems.


• Configure and manage a variety of networking equipment.


• Analyze and resolve networking issues efficiently.


• Evaluate IT system designs to ensure compliance with industry standards.


• Conduct site surveys and on-site assessments to prepare design documents and scope-of-work (SOW).


• Prepare detailed technical documentation and reports.


• Travel to multiple work sites for system installations and assessments.


• Accept and manage equipment deliveries at a centralized warehouse.


• Rearrange and install network equipment including switches, modules, and cards.


• Install power equipment such as UPS systems and stepdown transformers.


• Install and configure Cat6e and fiber patch cords.


• Use Visio to create network diagrams.


• Communicate progress and completion updates via email.


• Generate bills of materials and create asset tracking workbooks.

Qualifications

• Active CCNA certification is required.


• Minimum of 3+ years of hands-on experience in network engineering.


• Strong knowledge and experience with LAN technologies and network equipment.


• Ability to read and develop Visio diagrams and technical documentation.


• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.


• Must have reliable transportation and the ability to travel daily to various work sites.


• Strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Additional Details
The base range for this contract position is $39-49/per hour, depending on experience.

Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hires of this position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Qualified applicants with arrest or conviction records will be considered.
