Position: Process Improvement Manager Location: Austin, TX - (Hybrid-Onsite - Need Only Locals) Duration: Long Term Contract

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Process Improvement Manager to evaluate current state business processes, identify opportunities for improvement, and design optimized, scalable solutions. The ideal candidate will have experience specifying software system requirements and collaborating with technical teams to implement effective, technology-driven solutions that improve operational efficiency and drive business value.

Key Responsibilities:
Evaluate and analyze current business processes across departments to identify inefficiencies, gaps, and improvement opportunities.
Develop and recommend optimized processes aligned with organizational goals and industry best practices.
Document and specify software system requirements to support process improvements and technology-driven solutions.
Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders and IT teams to design, test, and implement improved business processes and system enhancements.
Establish measurable KPIs to monitor process performance and ensure sustainability of improvements.
Prepare reports, process documentation, and presentations for senior leadership.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field.
5 years of experience evaluating existing State government processes and implementing optimized solutions.
Proven experience in process mapping, workflow optimization, and business requirements gathering.
Experience working with IT teams to define and deliver software system requirements.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).

Preferred Qualifications:
1 year of experience specifying software system requirements to design and implement improved solutions.
Familiarity with public sector operations or regulated industries.

Soft Skills:
Ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication.
