Actual starting pay will vary based on factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, experience, skills, specialty, and education.

Eligible for an Annual Discretionary Cash Bonus Target: 12.5%

Eligible for an Annual Discretionary Restricted Stock Units Bonus Target: 12.5%

These discretionary target bonuses may be awarded semi-annually based upon your achievement of performance goals and targets.

About This Job
The Credit Policy and Governance Analyst plays a key role in supporting the Credit Operations team, the Deputy Chief Credit Officer, and the Chief Credit Officer.

This position is responsible for the effective administration of credit committees, ensuring alignment with Credit Policies, Standards, and Procedures. The Analyst helps drive the efficient management of cross-functional processes and compliance with regulatory requirements. A core aspect of the role includes overseeing the timely review and governance of reporting items, as well as managing administrative functions related to the Management Credit Committee.

The Analyst will contribute to the development, enhancement, implementation, issuance, and periodic review of Credit Policy documents. This includes close collaboration with Compliance and oversight functions to ensure consistency and regulatory alignment. Additionally, the role involves cross-functional engagement with Business Units, Risk Management, Internal Audit, and senior leadership across the Bank.

Responsibilities:
  • Credit Policy Advisory and Strategy- provide support to 1st and 2nd Lines of Defense regarding Policy requirements, interpretations, and compliance
  • Proactively identify continuous improvement opportunities in the compliance and reviews of Policy and all related documents
  • Policy Implementation and Enforcement- engage with Businesses and various Functions to track and influence the implementation of Credit Policy requirements
  • Regulatory Engagement- participate in all regulatory engagement on Credit Policy and related documents
  • Communication- coordinate with key stakeholders to roll-out timely communications, trainings, newsletters, etc.
  • Drive the Management Credit Committee meetings, administration and preparation
  • Support the Credit Department through the performance of end-to-end process reviews and provide expert guidance on assessment of processes and controls and participate in enhancement / transformation initiatives to remediate identified gaps.
  • Continually identify and enhance the overall control environment; serve as a champion to advocate consistent and robust control framework across various Credit business units.
  • Identify and eliminate redundancies and inefficiencies in business processes, driving technology enhancements and exploring use of AI tools
  • Validate that procedures, process maps, and other documentation are up-to-date and applied adequately.
  • Support and facilitate first line colleagues in the identification, design, and enhancement of preventive and detective controls, including key metrics
  • Support the development of strong risk culture, risk conduct, and risk literacy in the first line.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or relevant focus
  • 3+ years of experience working in a financial institution preferred
