Role Overview
We are seeking multiple Copilot Studio Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to design, develop, and operationalize AI-powered copilots and agents across a range of complexity from guided Q&A copilots to multi-step, enterprise-grade agents integrated with line-of-business systems. These SMEs will leverage Microsoft Copilot Studio, Power Platform, and broader Microsoft cloud services to deliver secure, scalable, and value-focused solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Solution Design
- Translate business use cases into conversational agent designs, user journeys, and measurable outcomes.
- Define agent intents, topics, prompts, guardrails, and content grounding strategies.
- Architect solutions using Copilot Studio with appropriate connectors, actions, and Power Platform components.
- Development and Configuration
- Build copilots/agents in Copilot Studio, including topics, actions, plugins, orchestration, and generative answers.
- Implement integrations via Power Automate flows, Power Apps components, Dataverse, and Microsoft Graph/first-party connectors.
- Create and manage data connections, environment variables, and solution packages for ALM.
- Data, Security, and Governance
- Configure data loss prevention (DLP) policies, environment strategies (Dev/Test/Prod), role-based access control, and audit logging.
- Apply responsible AI practices: prompt design, grounding, retrieval augmentation, safety filters, and compliance with data privacy standards.
- Partner with InfoSec to ensure adherence to enterprise security, data residency, and regulatory requirements.
- Quality and Operations
- Establish test plans, telemetry, and analytics to measure adoption, accuracy, containment, and ROI.
- Perform prompt tuning, topic refinement, and continuous improvement based on user feedback and analytics.
- Contribute to documentation, runbooks, and knowledge articles; support UAT and production release cycles.
- Stakeholder Engagement
- Work with product owners, SMEs, and engineering to prioritize backlogs and deliver iterative releases.
- Conduct demos, training, and enablement for business users and citizen developers.
- Provide technical guidance on platform best practices and patterns.
Qualifications

- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and Azure ecosystem: Microsoft Graph, Azure AD/Entra ID, API permissions/consent, Azure Functions/Logic Apps (nice to have).
- Solid understanding of prompt engineering, retrieval/grounding, and responsible AI concepts.
- Experience integrating with enterprise systems via connectors, REST APIs, webhooks, and custom connectors.
- Familiarity with environment strategy, DLP, security roles, and governance in Power Platform.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred
- Experience with complex agent orchestration, tool calling/actions, and multi-turn conversational design.
- Background in .NET/TypeScript/Power Fx; ability to build custom connectors and lightweight services.
