As the Manager/Sr. Manager of Information Technology ( IT ), you'll oversee all aspects of the organization's technology, including infrastructure, operations, security, budgets, and staff, ensuring technology aligns with business goals and operates efficiently and securely.

Responsibilities and key areas:

Leadership and Strategy:

  • Develop and implement IT strategies: Align IT initiatives with the organization's overall business objectives.
  • Lead and manage the IT team: Hire, train, motivate, and evaluate IT staff.
  • Communicate effectively: Clearly communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Stay updated on industry trends: Monitor and evaluate emerging technologies and their potential impact on the organization.
  • Manage IT projects: Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of IT projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.

IT Operations and Infrastructure:

  • Manage IT infrastructure: Oversee the organization's computer systems, networks, servers, and other technology infrastructure.
  • Ensure system availability and performance: Monitor and maintain the performance and reliability of IT systems.
  • Manage IT security: Develop and implement security policies and procedures to protect the organization's data and systems from cyber threats.
  • Manage IT vendors and contracts: Negotiate and manage contracts with IT vendors.
  • Manage IT budgets: Develop and manage the IT department's budget, ensuring cost-effective utilization of resources.

Other Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support: Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
  • Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans: Ensure the organization can recover from disruptions.
  • Manage IT compliance: Ensure the organization complies with relevant IT regulations and standards.
  • Identify and recommend new technologies: Propose and implement new technologies that can improve the organization's efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Foster innovation: Encourage and support the development of new IT solutions and services.

Skills / Attributes Required

  • Technical skills / experience
    • Previous system administrator and IT management experience required.
    • Organization Planning, Recruitment / Development and Retention of Management of IT staff.
    • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft based operating systems with emphasis on Windows 7/10, Windows Server 2008/2012/2016, and Microsoft Office 365.
    • Excellent knowledge of Cloud storage services and environments (e.g., Microsoft Azure and Amazon AWS) and backup services.
    • Detailed understanding of PC/server hardware set-up and configuration.
    • Excellent knowledge of networking components and infrastructure equipment.
    • Knowledge of mobile communications and MDM solutions.
    • Set-Up, integration and enhancement knowledge of CAD/PLM software (PTC and Siemens products prefered).
  • Proficiency/Good Understanding in ERP systems (SAP preferred).

  • Education
    • BS/BA in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
    • Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT, with at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership role.
