Job Description:

We are seeking an an experienced early-career materials engineer to join the team and support the RL10 program. RL10 has numerous complex processing requirements which require good fundamental materials knowledge as well as practical industrial skills. Candidate will have the opportunity to interface with a variety of disciplines and work on interesting projects.

Essential Functions:

• Support project teams for the production of rocket engine hardware
• Evaluate materials and processes particularly for non-conforming conditions or off-nominal needs
• Identify improvements in processes and requirements to support drives for improved efficiency
• Technical report writing to document internal knowledge
• Lab-support as necessary to manage projects
• 15% Travel

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree or equivalent with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior related experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:

• Lab-based analytical skills including metallography
• Understanding of fundamental materials engineering
