Job Details

Role:- Senior Informatica PowerCenter/IICS Data Engineer

Location:- Austin, TX - Onsite (Need only local candidates in Austin, TX area only)

Interview Type:- In-Person Interview

Experience:- Minimum 12 years

Note:- Prior Healthcare or HHS agency is mandatory

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor an Agile development team in building and enhancing components of the HHS Data Integration Hub.

  • Acquire and integrate data from multiple data sources including Oracle, SQL Server, Excel, Access, and PDF.

  • Develop complex SQL scripts (Oracle/Snowflake) to transform data into dimensional models, including views and materialized views.

  • Build and automate ETL workflows using Informatica PowerCenter / IICS to extract, transform, and load data into analytical structures.

  • Validate and verify SQL code, Informatica workflows, and database objects to ensure performance, accuracy, and reliability.

  • Implement automated testing and validation routines for ETL workflows and data pipelines.

  • Collaborate with Architects and Data Engineering teams to design optimal data acquisition and integration strategies.

  • Participate in all Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, refinement, daily standups, retrospectives).

  • Create mockups, work with end-users for validation, and incorporate business requirements into technical solutions.

  • Produce and maintain technical documentation including specifications, diagrams, and mapping documents.

  • Analyze evolving business requirements, evaluate impact, and propose enhancements to data models and ETL pipelines.

  • Assist in implementing development tools, resolving technical issues, and supporting production operations as needed.
