As an Embedded Software Engineer, you will support the design, development, integration, and testing of advanced electronic warfare software systems.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting planning, development, and testing of surface Navy electronic warfare systems
- Collaborating within an Integration & Test (I&T) Integrated Product Team (IPT)
- Communicating technical progress and status to IPT leadership
- Developing and modifying C++ software to port existing applications to new hardware platforms
- Performing unit testing with hardware in the loop
- Supporting system-level integration testing alongside systems engineers
- Leveraging modern development and collaboration tools, including:
- VS Code
- Jenkins
- JIRA
- Git / BitBucket
- Nexus
- Confluence
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline and 5+ years of relevant experience
- 5+ years of experience with C++ in embedded or real-time environments
- Experience working with radio frequency (RF) systems
- Experience with digital signal processing (DSP)
- Hands-on experience with real-time embedded systems using the VxWorks operating system
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Experience conducting unit testing with hardware
- U.S. citizenship required
- Active DoD Secret clearance
- Experience developing software for Electronic Warfare (EW) systems
- Understanding of Electronic Warfare techniques and RF signal processing
- Working knowledge of RF and lab test equipment, such as:
- Network analyzers
- Oscilloscopes
- Signal / waveform generators
- Synthesizers
- Digitizers
- Signal analyzers
