Job Summary
This position is responsible for leading the Electrical and Digital/I&C teams in Plant Support Engineering at Comanche Peak Nuclear Power Plant. This role facilitates the engagement of a group of cross-functional engineers with other site organizations to support resolution of emergent and Operations prioritized issues.

Job Description

Key Accountabilities

• Manage activities associated with response to emergent plant issues, including design modifications, technical evaluations, vibration and thermography, valve testing, input to operability, troubleshooting, parts identification, etc.
• Engage system engineers, vendors, or other technical expertise to develop troubleshooting and corrective actions.
• Develop action plans and manage completion of activities required to resolve plant performance issues.
• Coordinate with Maintenance, Work Control, and Operations to align the organization on engineering recommendations and products.
• Communicate up to date information on activity status to station leaders and managers
• Develop personnel in technical and professional skills
• Facilitate staffing activities.
• Direct the activities of the individual contributors within the group.
• Conduct performance reviews, salary actions, and monitor individual contributor and direct reports performance.
• Prioritize and approve group activities and work products.
• Allocate personnel and budget to complete engineering activities and meet department/site goals.
• Hold a position in the Emergency Response Organization

Education, Experience, & Skill Requirements

• Bachelor of Science Engineering degree or related Science degree.
• Detailed knowledge of power plant systems including engineering principles associated with plant design and operation
• Extensive knowledge of Codes, standards, plant specific procedures and regulatory requirements governing the design and operation of nuclear power plants
• Knowledge of planning, scheduling and cost analysis
• Professional Engineering registration preferred
