Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree. Eight years of progressively responsible experience in developing, and/or configuring applications, and/or IT infrastructure support/maintenance, and/or radio infrastructure systems, and/or information security are required. Additional related work in developing, and/or configuring applications, and/or IT infrastructure support/maintenance, and/or radio infrastructure systems, and/or information security may substitute for the required college education on a year-for-year basis.

The Information Technology Department (ITD) IT Manager for the Radio Communications Department s Fixed Systems team will oversee the County s Land Mobile Radio (LMR) hardware and software, including radio consoles, communication tower hardware and site facilities. This role involves managing the daily operations and maintenance of the LMR system and infrastructure to ensure high availability needs for all County radio customers. This position will also assist in planning, engineering, designing and implementing LMR hardware and software, radio consoles and radio communications tower hardware and site infrastructure. An employee in this class is responsible for supervising the work of Infrastructure Engineers, Senior Telecommunications Technicians and Telecommunications Technicians performing a variety of specialized technical assistance functions for operation of the county s LMR infrastructure system. Duties include but are not limited to staff management in support of operations and projects, customer relations, strategic planning, vendor management, peer relations, supply chain management, managing operational metrics and associated remedies, security, standards, and policies. Additional responsibilities include budget management, procurement management, HR management and project management. General direction is received from the Division Director who directs multiple teams and projects in support of all County customers to provide superior service and measured results.
