PowerFlex Upgrade Engineer: (Remote)
About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented PowerFlex Upgrade Engineer to join our infrastructure team. This role focuses on performing software and firmware upgrades on Dell PowerFlex environments, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal system performance. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Dell PowerFlex, strong troubleshooting skills, and a deep understanding of enterprise storage and hyper-converged infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, schedule, and execute code upgrades for Dell PowerFlex systems (including SDS, SDC, MDM, and PowerFlex Manager).
- Perform pre-upgrade health checks and post-upgrade validations to ensure system integrity.
- Collaborate with Dell support and internal teams to resolve upgrade-related issues.
- Maintain detailed documentation of upgrade procedures, configurations, and outcomes.
- Monitor system performance and proactively identify areas for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with change management and security policies.
- Provide technical guidance and support to other infrastructure teams.
Required Qualifications:
- Proven experience with Dell PowerFlex (formerly VxFlex OS) in enterprise environments.
- Strong understanding of storage architecture, networking, and virtualization.
- Familiarity with Linux and Windows operating systems.
- Experience with PowerFlex Manager and REST APIs is a plus.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex system issues and work under pressure.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Preferred Certifications:
- Dell Technologies Proven Professional (PowerFlex-specific certifications)
- VMware Certified Professional (VCP)
- Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) or equivalent

Bachelor s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience
