Title: Technical Specialist - Remote

The client is seeking a Technical Specialist contractor analyst/designer/developer (>10 years experience) for the Engineering Application Services Department (EAS) to enhance a series of Java, C/C++ and asp.net/C# interfaces on an application for the Department called HiCAMS.
HiCAMS is a custom, client-server application used to track work, materials and payments on client of Highways Construction projects. We have many Java, C/C++ and asp.net/C# interfaces with various internal and external systems that need to be maintained and enhanced. We also have some business logic changes/enhancements to some of our Java interfaces that we need coded/tested/applied. Additional work will involve analyzing/designing/coding/testing bug fixes and other functional enhancements to the system and client interfaces.
This individual should have practical experience with all phases of the standard software development life cycle, including requirements gathering, analysis, design, development, unit & system testing, quality assurance testing as well as experience with business process transformation. Experience designing and interfacing with SharePoint and web-based solutions are also valuable skills we re seeking.
