Overview: Step into a high-stakes engineering role supporting NIWC and USMC Ground Communications programs. This is more than just a mechanical engineering job-its your chance to design and deploy mission-critical communications systems across advanced military platforms. If youre a confident, hands-on engineer with a passion for defense technology and a knack for leading cross-functional teams, we want you on our front lines.

What You'll Do:

• Lead the design, update, and installation of communications equipment on military vehicles like Humvees and JLTVs
• Work side-by-side with NIWC contractors and government personnel to bring cutting-edge systems to life
• Manage technicians and drafters to ensure seamless execution of design plans
• Present new designs and technical updates to stakeholders with clarity and confidence
• Oversee documentation and configuration management for mechanical and electrical systems
• Support knowledge transfer and onboarding-no one walks in blind

What You Bring:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• 7+ years of engineering experience, ideally in mechanical systems for defense platforms
• Hands-on experience with military vehicles and communications systems
• Familiarity with C4ISR systems and electrical components like radios
• Proficiency in AutoCAD or SolidWorks; Cisco knowledge is a plus
• Strong presentation skills and the ability to lead with confidence
• Thick skin and a proactive mindset-this customer expects excellence

Must-Haves:

• Ability to maintain Active Secret Security Clearance
• Ability to work onsite and interface directly with government personnel
• Compensation: $60/hour and up
• Interview Availability:
• Tuesday after 11am
• Wednesday before 10:30am or after 12:30pm
• Thursday after 11am
• Ideal Start Date: October 1 (earlier start possible)
