Job Title: Medical Assistant - Rheumatology
Location: Burbank, CA
Job Type: Full-Time, 8:00 am - 5:30 pm
Key Responsibilities:
Assist rheumatologists with patient examinations and procedures.
Perform blood draws and other specimen collections with precision and care.
Record patient information, vital signs, and medical histories accurately.
Prepare and administer medications and treatments as directed by the physician.
Provide patient education and support regarding rheumatology treatments and procedures.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring all medical equipment is sterilized and ready for use.
Schedule appointments, manage patient records, and handle administrative tasks as needed.
Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations and safety standards.
Qualifications:
Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification.
Previous experience in a rheumatology setting is preferred.
Proficiency in phlebotomy and blood draw techniques.
Bilingual Spanish preferred.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and patient demeanor.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Basic computer skills and familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
CPR and First Aid certification.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr.
