PL/SQL Database Developer

Job Title: PL/SQL Database Developer Location: New York, Onsite Experience: 10+ years

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled PL/SQL Database Developer to design, develop, and maintain Oracle-based database solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in writing complex PL/SQL code, optimizing queries, and working closely with application and data teams to support business objectives.

Responsibilities:

Develop, optimize, and maintain stored procedures, functions, packages, and triggers using PL/SQL.

Design and implement data models and database schemas based on business requirements.

Tune SQL queries for performance improvements.

Collaborate with application developers to integrate database logic into business applications.

Support data migration, ETL processes, and batch processing jobs.

Monitor and resolve performance issues, bugs, and data integrity issues.

Create technical documentation including data flow diagrams and database design documentation.

Work closely with QA and DevOps teams to ensure seamless deployment and testing.

Requirements:

Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

10+ years of experience in Oracle PL/SQL development.

Strong understanding of relational database concepts and Oracle database architecture.

Expertise in performance tuning and query optimization.

Experience with data modeling and database design tools.

Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD tools.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with Oracle 12c/19c.

Knowledge of data warehousing concepts.

Experience with other RDBMS like SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.

Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies.
