About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Residential Alarm Technician for a contract role supporting service and installation work in the Cleveland area. Technicians will use a proprietary ticketing system to manage jobs and ensure high-quality service delivery in residential environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and service burglar alarm systems, panels, sensors, wireless cameras, smart home devices, access control systems, and CCTV
- Perform wiring, drilling, and device installation in residential settings
- Communicate professionally with customers and team members
- Follow job preparation and completion checklists
- Accurately record inventory and mileage between job sites
- Educate customers on installed systems and mobile apps
- Test and verify all zones and devices with central monitoring systems
Top Skills - Must Haves
- Burglar alarm installation (panels, contacts, cameras, locks, sensors, doorbells)
- Residential installation experience
- Access control, CCTV, IP cameras, low voltage wiring
- Strong troubleshooting and service skills
- Reliable transportation
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
Secondary Skills - Nice to Haves
- Cable tech experience (Cat5/Cat6, punchdown, programming)
- Electrical or physical security background
- Experience with 2Gig, Alarm.com, and similar systems

- Inventory: Collected weekly from local branch locations; accurate tracking required
- Mileage: Paid between job sites (excluding commute to/from home)
