Job Title: Sr. Cloud Architect
Location: Sacramento, CA (Hybrid 2 days onsite)

Overview:
Hiring manager is seeking a hands-on Senior Cloud Architect to design and develop scalable, cloud-based solutions aligned with business and technical requirements. This is an individual contributor role suited for someone with a deep understanding of cloud architecture, data engineering, and enterprise systems. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in building data frameworks, managing a large SQL server environment, and driving innovation in a hybrid cloud ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Translate business and functional requirements into scalable cloud solutions.
  • Design and implement modern cloud architecture strategies and frameworks.
  • Manage and support over 150+ SQL Servers in a cloud environment.
  • Develop and maintain data pipelines using PySpark and Python-based frameworks.
  • Work with tools like Databricks and Kubernetes to build robust data platforms.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, providing technical guidance and strategy.
  • Contribute as a principal-level architect while remaining hands-on in development tasks.
  • Provide technical consultation and documentation at both user and technical levels.

Required Skills & Knowledge:

  • Strong experience in cloud platforms and data architecture (AWS/Azure/Google Cloud Platform).
  • Advanced SQL expertise and experience in managing large-scale SQL environments.
  • Proficient in Python, PySpark, ETL processes, and Databricks.
  • Solid understanding of Kubernetes, cloud-native tools, and data frameworks.
  • Experience with EPIC and healthcare domain data systems is highly preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills for engaging with senior stakeholders and teams.
  • Experience formulating strategic enterprise architecture frameworks.
  • Ability to analyze and solve complex problems with wide-ranging impact.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Healthcare industry experience is a strong plus.
  • Experience with visualization technologies and DevOps practices.

Additional Details:

  • Hybrid position: Onsite 2 days/week in Sacramento.
  • Open to candidates across the U.S. who are willing to relocate.
  • Team of 25 30 members, mostly based in Sacramento and growing.
